The arms sweep in a gentle anatomical curve that mirrors the shape of the horse's lower jaw, so the bit rests naturally rather than forcing the jaw to conform to a straight rod. Less resistance, better fit, and no pressure on the lip corners - the horse carries this bit rather than tolerating it.
