- PRODUCT PERFORMANCE: Circle A Medical Algicate Ag Silver Calcium Alginate Dressings utilizes a mix of calcium alginate with the addition of an iconic silver complex that releass silver ions in the presence of wound exudate.
- APPLICATION: Algicate Ag dressing turns into gel once contacts with wound exudates to provide a micro-environment that promotes healing and the formation of tissue granulation. The process of absorbing a large amount of exudate and reducing the frequency of changes. Forms a gel-like surface over the wound that supports a moist wound-healing environment and keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound can promote wound healing process by maintaing the humidity of wound environment.
- SEAWEED NATURAL FIBER: Circle A Medical Algicate Ag Dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed. Strip shape Algicate dressing can fill cavity wounds and be less sticky to the wound surface, minimizing pain while dressing changes.
- PACKAGING: Available in 4 sizes (2' x 2' - 4' x 5' - 4' x 8' - 0.75' x 12'). Each box contains 10 Individually wrapped sterile dressing. Its hygienic Alginate dressing ensures the wound is protected against water and foreign matter.
- HOW TO USE: Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water, dry the surrounding skin gently. Open foil envelope by peeling edges down to allow aseptic removal of the dressing. To unfold dressing, grasp both ends with sterile forceps and pull apart or cut with sterile scissors to meet specific size requirements.Then place the gauze on the wound. An appropriate absorbent secondary layer should be used to secure the Algicate gauze dressing.
