Retains the dense, starchy texture and nutty, sweet, earthy flavour of fresh chestnuts
Fabulous for baking as well as making a quick and easy chestnut puree soup or ravioli filling
Imported from France. Clement Faugier has been preserving chestnuts for more than 125 years

Use this pure unsweetened chestnut purÃ©e to make a soup, a chestnut soufflÃ© Mont-bry, or a chestnut charlotte. You can also use it to make Mont Blanc, which consists of a base of meringue covered with a dome of chestnut purÃ©e topped with chantilly creme. Attention: this chestnut purÃ©e, which contains no sugar, should not be confused with chestnut jam (crÃ¨me de marronsÂ orconfiture de marrons), although you can use it as a basis for the jam by cooking it with water, sugar, and vanilla (optional).
