• BENTONITE CLAY FOR HOME-BREWING - Craft A Brew’s Bentonite Clay is a fining agent that has been often used in the winemaking process. Bentonite Clay is a grey powder that is mixed with hot water and added to the must prior to fermentation.
• CLARIFY & REFINE YOUR BREWS - Bentonite is a highly absorbent clay that acts as a clarifier, preventing cloudiness and haze in wines, meads, ciders, and juices, for a professional-grade finish.
• ENHANCE COLOR & FLAVOR - Bentonite Clay binds to suspended yeast, sediment, and stubborn particles, removing them from suspension. The result is improved clarity, vibrant color, reduced off-flavors, and lower oxidation potential.
• EASY TO USE - Use 1-2 grams (¼ to ½ teaspoon) of Bentonite mixed with 1 oz of warm water to create a smooth slurry. Add it pre-fermentation or during secondary fermentation for effective clarification. For best results, consider adding during secondary fermentation.
