- 【Crescent Moon Katana】 A hand forged, full tang Japanese katana built on a 28.5-inch 1045 Carbon Steel blade, this functional sword is balanced for a two-handed grip and runs 41.5 inches overall, named for its crescent-moon openwork guard.
- 【1045 Carbon Steel & Visible Temper】 The 1045 Carbon Steel blade is heat tempered to bring out a visible wavy temper pattern along its finished edge, an edge prepared for dojo practice. A bo-hi groove is cut down each side to lighten the blade and refine its balance in the hand.
- 【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by a crescent-moon cutout openwork tsuba with a brushed finish, above a fitted habaki collar. The wood handle is wrapped over genuine rayskin (samegawa) in black cotton ito, with menuki set under the wrap for a secure two-handed grip.
- 【Full Tang & Specifications】 The full tang is held by a bamboo mekugi peg, and the blade rests in a brown high-gloss lacquered wood saya finished with a sageo cord. Blade 28.5 in, handle 11.25 in, overall 41.5 in.
- 【What's in the Box】 You receive the katana, its brown saya (scabbard), a protective sword bag, and a packaging tube; a display stand is not included.

Blade: All Handmade Sword’s blades are full tang, engraved with signature of sword smith. And it can be fully disassembled and assembled. Most of our functional blades are made of high carbon content steel. Also, there are blades made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy for Iaido training swords.Â

Tsuba and other fittings:  Most fittings are made by brass. For Tsubas, we use coper, or brass, or iron, or alloy. It depends on each tsuba.

Handle and Saya (Scabbard): Wooden or other specified. Most handles covered by rayskin and Japanese cotton Ito.Â
