Mimic a natural morning sunrise and evening sunset every day. The Dual Ramp Timer is a fully programmable 24 hour LED lighting controller that not only turns your lights on and off, it also simulates gentle sunrise, sunset and moonlight for your critters. Designed for both freshwater and marine aquariums, it's extremely simple to use and slowly acclimates animals to the bright light that LEDs produce. Featuring two independent lighting channels, each channel can be programmed for on/off times, as well as minimum and maximum intensity/brightness. At each pre-programmed ion time, the Dual Ramp Timer slowly begins to mimic a morning sunrise by gently increasing the lighting level of each channel over 15 minutes. When the programmed off time is reached, it gradually dims the light over 15 minutes, ending at your minimum intensity setting - simulating a soft dusk to night. If you want some lunar lighting, simply set your blue channel to a low intensity and the moon will glow all night. By mimicking dawn and dusk, your animals are provided a soothing adjustment to full brightness and darkness, helping to prevent any sudden or stressful light shock. The next day, the schedule starts all over again, creating a natural circadian rhythm to the 24 hour light-dark cycle.
