For this unique ML model, Dean had famed guitar builder Buddy Blaze, designer of the "Dean From Hell" axe for Dimebag Darrell, take that design and give it his own twist. Like the Dean From Hell, it features the classic Dean ML body shape, a Floyd Rose double-locking trem, and set neck construction. Blaze also dropped in "Blaze Bucker" and "Nostalgia" humbuckers by Dean USA, and added a few frets and some custom inlays. He kept the electronics simple, with just a volume control and three-way pickup toggle.  |

Buddy Blaze and Dean
Dean Guitars has teamed up with Legendary Guitar Builder Buddy Blaze for a unique take on the ML shape. Buddy Blaze designed Dimebag Darrell's first Dean ML, and this new Buddy Blaze Signature guitar expands on the original "Dean from Hell" Dime loved so much. Extra neck angle on this guitar gives it a very comfortable feel and allows for a top mounted Floyd Rose. Buddy Blaze also helped design the "Blaze Bucker" Bridge Pickup for massive sustain and tone.
Mahogany Body
Dean uses a mahogany body for this this ML, as with many of its guitars. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain. And of course there's that lightning-themed finish, sure to help coax a little electricity from your fingers on the fretboard.
Set Neck Construction
The ML Buddy Blaze features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access.
The 24-3/4-inch scale V-shaped neck features a rosewood fingerboard with custom offset inlays.
Dean USA Humbuckers
In the bridge position, the Buddy Blaze features--big surprise here--the "Blaze Bucker" humbucker that he helped design. It features an Alnico 8 magnet and a super-hot output.
In the neck position is the "Nostalgia" model. The Nostalgia is a vintage-style humbucking pickup, great for classic rock and blues. The moderate output of the Nostalgia makes it a favorite for those guitarists seeking classic tones with balanced tonal response.
On the electronics front, Blaze kept this one simple, with a three-way toggle and a single volume conrol.
