The Boeing 757 is a mid-size, narrow-body twin-engine jet airliner designed and built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. As Boeing's largest single-aisle passenger aircraft produced from 1981 to 2004, this aircraft features a two-crew member glass cockpit and turbofan engines of sufficient power to allow takeoffs from relatively short runways and higher altitudes. This model, bearing registration N823DX and ship 6823, represents the last 757-200 built by Boeing. Delivered to Shanghai Airlines on April 26, 2005, the aircraft was later purchased by Delta Air Lines in September 2015. The aircraft was painted and fitted with winglets in 2016.
