This course is designed to acquaint you with fundamental concepts of dental radiography. It seeks to familiarize you with the techniques of positioning the patient, the tubehead, and film as well as exposing and processing dental radiographs. A knowledge of radiography is essential to understanding the dangers inherent in the use of X-rays.

Radiographs are used to help make diagnoses. There are examples in this course of commonly produced radiographs.
