While the sultry New Orleans jazz and second line inspired R&B of Dave Bartholomew, Roy Brown, and 'Fess Longhair may have passed its heyday, there's a new generation that still plays the music with good vibes and a raucous spirit. Pulled together by Crescent City producer Mark Bingham, this ace collection of Louisiana natives and transplants from around the U.S. and as far off as Japan, are here to share the groove, find the pocket, and just swing free for a dozen tunes. New songs and old are scattered through a set that see the ghost of Fats Domino, Huey Smith, Lloyd Price, and Earl King.
