The Sd.Kfz.2 kleines Kettenkrad was originally designed as a light tractor for airborne troops, but it quickly gained widespread use amongst German troops. It was steered like a motorbike, while at the rear were twin track runs. In total, some 8,345 examples of this nifty vehicle were manufactured. This kit has upgraded, parts that will enable modelers to create an Early-Production Sd.Kfz.2. Totally new parts include an updated sprocket wheel design, as well as the inclusion of miniature yet easy-to-assemble DS tracks. Dragon's kit is stunningly detailed. Of course, it's a tiny vehicle in 1/35 scale, but there's no stinting on detail. For example, a full engine is included inside the hull. To add to its attractiveness, the Kettenkrad comes with a driver and an infanteriekarren (‘infantry cart') that can be towed behind it. Dragon's two-wheeled infanteriekarren had long disappeared from the market and from shop shelves, but it's now making a reappearance. It not only works with the Sd.Kfz.2, but the versatile wooden cart could also be combined with other vehicles such as a Kübelwagen, or simply used as a diorama accessory. Modelers will need to make sure they don't miss the opportunity to obtain these two small, but very popular, items!
