Note1, The probe can't be put into a temperature over 300°C longer than 10min.For example, the probe can't be put into the mirco-wave oven or on fire for more than 10 min.
Note 2, When the probe touch the high temperature, the temperature of probe itself will become high correspondingly. It will take a few minutes to cool down naturally. So,if you do not turn off the transmitter ,the temperature signal still emit before the probe cooling down. (eg.If the temperature of uncooled probe is higher than the temperature you set ,the receiver will sound an alarm even if you do not measure anything )
