ENGINE BLOCK HEATER Pan 3M stick on Pad (120V U.S.A. / Long CORD) Designed for: 4 Cylinder Engines by Z-TOOL HEATER TEC.

Reduce the wear on your engine during cold weather starts! They plug into a standard electrical outlet and can be put onto a timer, or a temperature triggered electrical outlet. This in effect causes your engine to reach operating temperature much faster and gives you heat inside the cabin much faster as well.
- On top of the benefit of heating up quicker, it also saves your engine a ton of wear and tear on internal moving parts! When an engine is warm it starts easier, when its cold it is very hard on your engine.

MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION:

Step 1: The pad heater must be installed on a flat, uniform surface with 100% of the heater surface in contact with the object being heated.

Step 2: If intended application area is painted, paint must be removed prior to installation. The temperatures associated with heater operation can cause paint to crack causing the heater to delaminate from applied surface.

Step 3: To obtain adhesion, the bonding surfaces must be clean and dry. Some recommended surface cleaning solvents are isopropyl alcohol or heptane. The solvent must be non-oil based. Step 4: Plug the pad heater in for a short time (about 5 seconds) to warm the adhesive.

Step 5: Slowly remove the cover on the heater to expose the pressure sensitive adhesive. Orient the heater as desired and apply it to the selected surface. Apply pressure to the entire heater with a roller to eliminate potential air gaps.

Step 6: Once applied to desired surface, energize heater for a short time (about 30 seconds). De-energize heater and again apply pressure.

Step7: Use the wire ties provided to secure the power cord in a manner that isolates the cord from hot surfaces and provides strain relief.
