Typically, thread repair is a daunting task that for most of us...we have not a clue to know where to even start. Threads have different pitches and this is what gets most people confused and repairs in trouble. Typically, wrong pitches are used turning bad damage into severe damage. What tap, die, or repair tool do I buy? The other repair tools on the market are cumbersome, ineffective, and a pain to use. Patented* EZ Thread takes the guess work out by simplifying the pitch dilemma. Our tool works on one pitch crest at a time, so no matter the size, pitch, internal, external, when you're working on a single pitch it doesn't matter. All standard, metric, pipe use a 60 degree angle on each little thread mountain (crest), so we matched the 60 degree angle and developed a tough proprietary diamond abrasive to grind away thread damage. For optimum performance, we highly recommend use a light cutting oil / tapping oil or the like, to help lubricate the cutting surface.
