EZGO Golf Cart Throttle Linkage Rod Connecting Rod for Models 4 Cycle Gas 1991+
Process: The largest piece inside the throttle body is the throttle plate, which is a butterfly valve that regulates the airflow. On many carts, the accelerator pedal motion is communicated via the throttle cable, which is mechanically connected to the throttle linkage rod, which in turn rotate the throttle plate
Function: A push/pull throttle cable is an upgrade to the old standard single throttle cable linkage. The throttle grip works on the carburetors when twisting/throttling up and when releasing/throttling down. With a push/pull throttle, should the spring fail, twisting the throttle will pull the throttle linkage back to idle.
Operation: The accelerator pedal motion is communicated via the throttle cable, which is mechanically to the throttle linkages, which in turn rotates the throttle plate. In carts with electronic throttle control, an electric actuator controls the carb throttle linkages and the accelerator pedal connects not to the throttle body
System: The throttle pedal r lever acts via a direct mechanical door linkage. The butterfly valve of the throttle is operated by means of an arm piece, loaded by a spring. This arm is usually directly linked to the accelerator cable, and operates in accordance with the driver who hits it. The further the pedal is pushed, the wider the throttle valve opens.
