Replacement Ceramic Ozone Plate Part for Enerzen Ozone Generator O-555 and O-777 Models. All ozone generators require an ozone plate or cartridge in order to work. Ozone (activated oxygen, O3) is created when voltage is applied to the ozone plate/cartridge to create a corona discharge. This corona discharge reacts with the oxygen present in the ozone generator chamber and elements in the ceramic plate to create ozone. Over time these elements in the ceramic plate will exhaust themselves and less ozone will be created. Each plate is rated to last approximately 5000+ hours.
