- ADVANCED MODEL-ROCKET KIT: The Estes Red Nova challenges builders ages 10+ with an advanced-level design that offers both precision and performance. The kit includes the rocket body parts, an engine mount, a recovery parachute, and self-stick decals. For launch, you will need Estes rocket engines, a launch pad system, Starters, Recovery Wadding, and 4 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately).
- SOARS UP TO 800 FT.: With its aerodynamic design, the bold red-and-black Red Nova rocket model can reach a projected altitude of 800 ft. (244 m) using a D12 Estes rocket engine (sold separately). It’s compatible with C11-3 and D12-5 rocket engines and can also work with D12-7 rocket engines when used with an engine adapter.
- READY TO ASSEMBLE: Rocket building inspires creativity and a passion for science and outer space! Our advanced rocket kit comes ready to build and requires approximately 2–3 hours of assembly time. Builders can apply the included decals for a sharp, professional look. Once completed, pair it with the Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad and Electron Beam Launch Controller (sold separately) for unforgettable launches.
- SAFETY FIRST, FUN ALWAYS: Our rockets are designed to be used with the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code. Always ensure you have an appropriate launch site, stand back at least 15 ft., insert the safety key, issue a countdown, and then you can let your rocket fly!
