The high-powered Mega Mosquito can reach heights of 750 feet, which is impressive considering it weighs in at more than 5 ounces! And let’s not forget about the bonus Mosquito that is included. Standing just 3.8 inches tall, this mini-powered rocket can reach up to 800 feet! It might take an afternoon of your time but then it’s off to the flying field for “double” your fun. Whether launching on Estes D or E engines, the extreme Mega Mosquito is returned safely on a colorful 18 inch preassembled parachute, while the Mosquito uses tumble recovery. Blast Off to Learning Fun
In addition to the excitement and entertainment it provides, rocketry also has significant educational value. Model rockets transform kids into amateur rocket scientists, encouraging them to think about how the rockets work. Rocket building teaches kids the basics of propulsion, flight, and aerodynamics, and can help foster an early interest in science and engineering. The Mega Mosquito, which is a Skill Level 2, is the first tier of more advanced kits that require beginner skills in model rocket construction, finishing and painting. Quality Estes body tubes, laser cut wood fins, molded plastic nose cone and waterslide decals make experience necessary to build this Skill Level 2 kit but the end result is worth the effort. As a Skill Level 1, the Mosquito only requires some painting, gluing and sanding with the same high quality laser cut wood fins, nose cone and decal to work with you’ll be flying this Estes original in no time.

Mission Control
The Mega Mosquito requires a Porta-Pad E and E Launch Controller as well as Estes engines for the launch (not included). Estes D12-3, D12-5, E9-4 or E9-6 engines are recommended for all missions. The Mosquito flies on Estes Mini- Engines ¼ A3-2T, ½ A3-2T, A3-4T or A10-3T. Unless otherwise specified, all models require assembly. Tools, construction and finishing supplies sold separately. In order to launch, a launch system, model rocket engines, igniters, recovery wadding and four 'AA' alkaline batteries are required – sold separately unless otherwise specified. Read all instructions before beginning. Make sure you have all parts and supplies required. Test fit all parts before applying glue. Sand as necessary for precision assembly. Product color and shape may vary. When launching, stand back as far as the launch controller cord will allow (15 feet). Rocketry is not intended for indoor use. Choose a large field (500 feet), free of dry weeds and brown grass. Launch only with little or no wind and good visibility.
