Just a few decades ago the concept of parallel universes was so strange, only scientists versed in the most advanced concepts and mathematics of quantum mechanics were willing to entertain the idea that it might actually be possible that our reality is not the only reality.
But now letâ€™s fast forward to today. Itâ€™s safe to say the majority of the public, in fact just about everybody, is at least familiar with the concept of parallel universes, and we can thank science fiction for that. In the past two decades there have been dozens of movies and TV shows which have leveraged the idea of slipping into alternate worlds for exciting dramatic entertainment.
The possibility that parallel worlds might really exist is at once frightening and unnerving, but also exciting and appealing, generating a positive sense of wonder - even a sense of hope.
It also helps that the public understands that the majority of physicists now accept parallel universe theory as solid science. We no longer need to merely â€˜believeâ€™. Parallel universes really exist. And if parallel universes exist, the implications for all of us are astounding.
Furthermore, the reality of parallel universes can help us explain, or at least understand, some of the most confounding aspects of paranormal phenomenon experienced by millions of everyday people. These include:

... and more. Most readers are fairly familiar with some or all of the above, but what is amazing is how different these subjects appear when looked at through the lens of parallel universe theory.
For example, perhaps we can finally explain why so many people have sighted Bigfoot and yet hard physical evidence of the creature - a body, a bone, a fossil or even a DNA sample - has proved impossibly difficult to obtain.
