Family Pastimes Let's Go Hiking - A Co-operative Hiking and Tracking Game
- Armed with cameras and boots, we leave camp and go for a hike in the woods

Armed with just cameras, binoculars & some other equipment, we leave our camp & hike into the park to learn about wildlife. We may be surprised what we learn about ourselves as well! Our goal is to bring back as many photographs as we can of the animals we track and end up at the guest lodge for refreshment. We will try to leave the park as undisturbed as possible, maybe leaving only our footprints behind. Before the game ends, we will learn about the wisdom of the woods, its dangers, its plants (both good & nasty), its creatures, large & small, AND ways of tracking that use sound, scent & sight to best advantage. This will be a shared, group experience! Includes: 12 x 12" board, 1 hikers mover, 1 die, 55 cards (consisting of 19 problems, 12 photographs of animals/tracks, 13 solutions, and 21 movements), rules.
Play as friends, not as enemies! Family Pastimes games foster the spirit of cooperation. Players help each other climb a mountain, make a community, complete a space exploration... They never play against each other. After all, the initial impulse to play a game is social; that is, we bring out a game because we want to do something together. How ironic then that in most games, we spend all our efforts trying to bankrupt someone, destroy their armies - in other words, to get rid of one another!
At Family Pastimes we believe that people of different ages and abilities should be able to play side by side, each making their best contribution. We are all there together when we finish the game to take joy in our successes and wonder how we might work together even better the next time we play.
