In the fourth book in her series T.S Wiseman looks a variety of sex scandals involving historical figures as diverse as Caligula and Queen Victoria. Yes, you read that right, Queen Victoria, the very personification of prudishness, was involved in not one, but two scandals after the death of her beloved Prince Albert. The Roman Emperor Caligula has a slightly more scandalous reputation than Queen Victoria, having married one-hundred times during his reign. In fact, Caligula had such a reputation that the "adult" movie industry chose to make a film about him in the 1970's.

The sex life of the famous last Pharaoh of Egypt, Cleopatra is also looked at. Cleopatra was a woman that almost brought the Roman Empire to its very knees with her beauty. Cleopatra isnâ€™t the only Femme Fatal in this book; the niece of Henry VIII, Frances Grey, technically second in line to the throne to the throne, got herself involved in a sex scandal with her relationship with her master of the horse. A few years later, another master of the horse, Robert Dudley, landed himself in troubled waters with the Queen when he feel for a younger, prettier Elizabeth look-a-like.

Wisemen also looks at some more standard figures when royal sex scandals are mentioned. Charles II and his brother, James II, both took advantage of their position and power to bed as many women as they possibly could. Another set of brothers that also enjoyed the pleasures that their position granted them were the children of George V, this group of four boys could have invented the word â€œplayboy" in the 1920's.

Finally, the life of the most-notorious figure to ever have had the triregnum of the papacy placed on his head - Rodrigo Borgia. The Borgiaâ€™s were the ultimate crime family, and they kept everything and we mean everything firmly within the family.
