In the 1970s and 80s heavy TV advertising boosted sales. In the 90s the focus shifted to pies and puddings, which are still central to the range. Fray Bentos is synonymous with convenient, satisfying pies and puddings, with many loyal fans. Sales last year were worth over Â£30 million.
