  • BLACK BURGUNDY TRUFFLE FEATURES. Burgundy black truffles (Tuber Uncinatum chatin) present a diamond-shaped structure with a black-brown color on the outside, and a greyish to brown on the inside. When mature, their aroma and smell resemble wild mushrooms and earthy hazelnut. Compared to the Summer Truffle (Tuber Aestivum), it is more intense in smell and taste as well as darker in color.
  • SUGGESTED PAIRINGS. Black Burgundy Truffles can be shaved fresh as a finishing element or infused into sauces to add depth. They pair well with meat, cheese, eggs, lobster, caviar, fois gras, pasta, cream sauces, garlic, shallots, light-bodied vinegars, mascarpone, aged hard cheeses, citrus and herbs such as tarragon, basil and arugula.
  • STORAGE. Store your Black Summer Truffle in the refrigerator, in an airtight glass jar, wrapped in paper towel to keep it fresh. We suggest consuming the truffles as soon as possible after you receive them.
