Fundamentals of Heat Exchanger Design
A heat exchanger is a device that is used for transfer of thermal energy (heat) between fluids, between a solid surface and a fluid or between solid particles and a fluid at differing temperatures. Typical applications involve heating or cooling fluids, evaporation or condensation of a fluid and heat recovery or heat rejection from a system. Common heat exchangers include systems such as radiators, distillers and pasteurizers.
