[Unique Sous vide Function]
Sous-vide is a method of cooking in which food is sealed in a vacuum-sealed plastic pouch then placed in a water bath or in a temperature-controlled steam environment for longer than normal cooking times (usually 1 to 7 hours) at an accurately regulated temperature much lower than normally used for cooking.
Advantage: Cook food evenly, ensuring that the inside is properly cooked without overcooking the outside, and retain moisture.
Temp & Time Setting of GeekChef Sous Vide Function:
Temp adjustable range: 120F-175F; default temp: 140F; Temp adjust increment: 10F.
Time adjustable range: 1-12hrs; default time: 6hrs; Time adjust increment: 30mins.
Tip: BPA free ziplock plastic bag can replace the vacumm bag, and please squeeze the air out of the bag for better result.
