General’s Carbon Sketch£, 595, Box of 1 Dozen Pencils. This drawing pencil is a unique formula that combines the smoothness of graphite and the darkness of charcoal. It lays down smooth, strong jet-black lines that are perfect for sketching, drawing and layout. It is a great accent pencil to use either with General’s Charcoal or Kimberly Graphite pencils. You can run a damp brush over your pencil marks to dissolve the top layer creating a liquid you can move around the paper to create beautiful tonal changes within and around the existing pencil lines. Since 1889, General Pencil has been making pencils in the USA with the highest quality sustained yield cedar wood. These products are AP and PMA approved and tested and certified for safety and quality by the Art and Creative Materials Institute, conforming to ASTM-D4236.
