The Gerstner Golden Oak 2610 Journeyman Chest is the most recognizable and sought after design by H. Gerstner & Sons, Inc, since its introduction in the 1930's. The Style 2610 Chest incorporates the timeless look and drawer layout of our classic Journeyman Chest with added overall height and depth (front to back) for more usable storage. The drawers have also been upgraded with pre-machined slots added to the front, sides and back to accommodate dividers. The chest comes with a selection of dividers already cut to the size of the drawers. The center drawer was traditionally used to hold a Machinist's Handbook and can also be used to hold drill bit guides and other tall items. The drawers feature backplates behind the knobs for a truly classic Gerstner & Sons look. The taller and deeper drawer sizes makes it a great chest to hold and display just about anything. The top compartment and all ten drawers are felt lined to provide extra protection for your possessions. The front panel is fitted with a sliding hinge so that it may be stowed beneath the bottom drawer. In the closed position, the front panel covers the drawers and can be locked to provide total security.
