Global Warrior: Averting WWIII

  • Used Book in Good Condition

This book's subtitle is "Averting WWIII." With tensions now at an all-time high in the Middle East and Korean Peninsula, that's a subject of more interest to the average American. Though published in 2011, herein lie three crucial prerequisites: (1) the most detailed study in existence of Pakistan's internal strife; (2) a fully tested/refined way for each U.S. company to develop its own state-of-the-art tactical techniques; and (3) how a U.S. infantry or commando squad might reestablish surprise during a partially compromised assault. Requiring no technology at all, truly light infantrymen (of whom the U.S. currently has none) make the best trainers of Third-World troops. That's because these troops must usually operate without any supporting arms or advanced electronics of their own. Yet, such self-sufficient infantrymen can still be combined with camera/computer-triggered antitank rockets and other technological marvels. That makes them a very useful military asset. Contrary to the arms manufacturers' claims, they ARE ABLE TO hold their own in conventional battle with acceptable losses. They can also apply less force in a 4GW environment (one with many non-martial aspects). In fact, without more light-infantry expertise at small-unit maneuver, the Pentagon has little chance of winning any low-intensity modern war, much less a world war. As painful as that reality may be, the American public must now demand this change to DoD priorities.
