Natural iron oxide is the basis for this single-pigment color, named after the region in Italy where it was first mined. Raw Sienna retains more of its yellowish color because is created prior to the heating process that creates "burnt" sienna.

For impasto techniques blend with faster drying Golden acrylics and gel mediums.
