Coconut Shell Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC). 1 cubic foot in bags. This is a premium carbon media to be used in residential or commercial drinking water treatment devices. Coconut Shell carbon usually works better than standard "charcoal" filtering media it also outperforms regular carbon in removing chlorine and Volatile Organic Compounds. Coconut Shell carbon is a great filtering media. It has a high density with balanced porous structure that performs well. Uses absorption to remove contaminants from drinking water. Most common application for granulated activated carbon are: removing unpleasant taste and odor from drinking water chlorine reduction. Media can be backwashed.
