Halloween Hysteria

Filled with plenty of screams, growls, heartbeats, and gong sounds, Halloween Hysteria will frightfully accompany all but the most discriminating haunted house builders. The tracks are all short, but with 54 of them (and a scary story and monster song), the CD stretches to over an hour. "Crowd Panic" and "Man Groaning in Pain" are two of the finer spooky sounds, but there's also "Fingernails on Chalkboard," "Vampire Bats Chittering," and the sounds of "Monster Dragging Foot." Compared to some Halloween CDs--often short and without any track listings--Halloween Hysteria seems downright deluxe; just remember that everything is divvied up into separate tracks. --Jason Verlinde
