Highly accurate 1/48 scale model kit of the F/A-18E Super Hornet originally developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). The Super Hornet is an extensively redesigned larger and more advanced variant of the F/A-18C/D Hornet (an all-weather carrier-capable strike fighter), with larger wing, longer fuselage to carry more fuel and more powerful engines (two GE 414 afterburning turbofan engines). This model kit features decals for two U.S. NAVY F/A-18E markings: VFA-27 "Royal Maces", (U.S.S. Kitty Hawk) and VFA-115 "Eagles", (U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln).
