- Versatile Fit for Various Lathe Sizes: This lathe chuck cover is designed to fit Hardinge HLV/HLV-H, HC chucker, DSM-59, DV-59, TL, TFB-H, and import copies such as Cyclematic & Sharp. The adjustable design, even allows the mounting to be reversed.
- Efficient Construction: Built with durability in mind, this lathe guard is constructed from industrial aluminum extrusion, offering long-lasting strength and resilience. The Gas strut raises the guard and keeps it in open position for set-up further enhancing the guard's functionality, ensuring smooth operation and reliable performance over time.
- Enhanced Safety Features: The lathe guard window is made from 1/4" thick Lexan (polycarbonate), providing exceptional impact resistance and robust protection. This shield covers a wide area, ensuring maximum safety for the user. The guard is finished with PPG's powder-coated "OSHA Safety Orange" paint, making it highly visible and adding an extra layer of safety by increasing its visibility in a workshop setting.
- Sturdy Mounting Method: Mounts by drilling/ bolting to the coolant tray. The design is engineered to clear the various locations of objects such as coolant pumps and power wires. The posts may be positioned anywhere to clear these. This provides a strong and stable foundation for the lathe guard. Its construction ensures that the guard remains securely in place during operation, contributing to a safer working environment.
- Multiple Versions Available: This Hardinge toolroom lathe guard is available with or without a safety interlock switch. Safety switches are rated to only 2 amps and require some form of motor control to adapt to your 3-phase machine. Safety interlock retrofit can be purchased and easily added to existing guards later. This is the version without a safety interlock switch.
