- Compatibility: This stock is precision-engineered to fit all 2nd and 3rd Generation Savage Long or Short Action rifles, providing a secure drop-in fit for most modern production models; however, it will not fit the Savage Axis, B-17, Model 25 Walking Varminter, 1st Generation Short Action rifles, or any model featuring a side push-button magazine release.
- Standard Barrel Fitment: This stock is precision-inletted to accommodate standard profile barrels, providing a sleek, low-profile fit that follows the factory contour of your rifle; please note it will NOT fit heavy or "Varmint" barrels.
- Precision Pillar Bedding: Engineered with reinforced aluminum pillars to provide a rock-solid foundation for maximum stability and enhanced shot-to-shot accuracy; the free-float design ensures no barrel-to-stock contact when properly installed, though minor hand-fitting may be required due to individual rifle manufacturing variances.
- Internal Box Mag Fitment: This stock is precision-cut to accommodate Savage rifles equipped with a top-loading internal box magazine, featuring the specific closed-bottom or "Blind Mag" inletting required to properly tension the magazine box against the receiver; however, it will not fit models with a detachable box magazine or hinged floor plate that require a bottom opening for extraction.

OverMolded stocks are constructed by molding a super strong, rigid fiberglass reinforced Skeleton or "insert" that precisely fits the guns' action. This rigid Skeleton is then overmolded with a durable but soft synthetic elastomer (rubber). during the heat and extreme pressure of injection molding the elastomer adheres chemically as well as mechanically to the Skeleton, resulting in a permanent bond between the rubber and the insert. The super strong Skeleton gives the stocks their strength, and the precise molded dimensions provide a perfect Drop-In fit of your rifle or shotgun. The state of the art elastomer material used on Hogue stocks won't harden with age and is virtually impervious to all oils and solvents found around firearms, providing years of dependable service.
