Gurin TS-110 Infrared Ear Thermometer provides a simple, expedient, and precise way for temperature taking through infrared heat given off from the eardrum and surrounding tissue. Clinical research has shown that the ear is an ideal site for taking body temperature. The eardrum shares the same blood supply with the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls body temperature. Therefore, the ear is an precise indicator of internal body (core) temperature. The thermometer obtains a reading in 1 second an notifies when temperature has been read with a beep. Compact design is small and light and ideal for home use and travel.
