Iran - guidebook for (not only) photographers: The most photogenic places that you can visit by yourself
Have you ever dreamed of visiting a photogenic destination that offers not only a wide natural diversity, and easy, affordable and comfortable travel, but is also home to the some of the most hospitable people in the Middle East, if not the world? If yes, then you might want to consider Iran. After weeks of research ahead of the trip, I knew where to find the best photography spots and have included the photos and all relevant information from my trip in this book. I have also included tips to help you plan your trip - without involving an international agency or tour company - to get to the best spots at the right time so you too can take some stunning photos that you will be proud of. It is not meant to compete with or act as a substitute for general guide books, such as Lonely Planet or Bradt guides, but is instead a source of supplemental information - you will find practical information such as how to obtain a travel visa, where to change money and find a SIM card on arrival, which apps can help you save money when travelling, the GPS coordinates of all photographs and the best spots I found, contact information for reliable helpers and local guides (including warnings about guides I was disappointed with), pricing as of winter 2019, and much more. The locations covered in the book include: Mesr desert and salt lake in Dasht-e Kavir, Rainbow mountains near Tabriz, Kashan, Yazd, Khalid Nabi and Tamer in Golestan province, Shiraz, Kandovan, Lake Urmia, Hormoz and Qeshm islands and Kalouts in Dasht-e Lut. Whether or not you purchase this book, my only advice would be: visit Iran before everyone else does. I loved my stay and I hope you do yours.
