- The K-type wires are AWG 24 (0.51 mm) in diameter
- ANSI color coded braided fiberglass insulation, red = -, yellow = +
- 10 yard ( 30 ft ) roll, wire is flexible and easy to bend to shape
- Oval cross section, approx 0.10 x 0.065 inch (2.5 x 1.6 mm)
This is a k-type thermocouple wire with yellow braided fiberglass insulation, which is good up to about 400 C Celsius or 752 F Fahrenheit. This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own thermocouples for a wide range of applications, or to make your own extension wire. The chromel / alumel wire is made to standard thermocouple specifications. It is sold in 10 yard rolls.
