The Omaggio series is a modern design classic. The iconic hand-painted stripes are represented in countless Nordic homes and loved by design enthusiasts all over the world. This 4.9 inch high vase in white with black stripes is available with stripes of other colors (subject to availability). The Omaggio vase, made from faience ceramic, is in fact an interpretation of the historical Kahler vases from the early and mid 20th century. The modern Omaggio vase was inspired by Tulle Emborg, one of the talented women painters in Kahler's Danish workshop in the 1930s and 1940s. As in the old Kahler workshop, each and every stripe has been hand-painted by talented women painters. The vases then go through multiple hand processes in connection with glazing, quality checking and fine polishing. In this way, your Omaggio vase is not only a modern design icon, but also a piece of Nordic cultural history which has been reinterpreted and revived by the talented designer duo Stilleben (Ditte Reckweg and Jelena Schou Nordentoft).
