The 4-sided diamond hone block has a different grit on each face, ranging from extra coarse (200 grit) to fine (600 grit). The hone block fits into a hard plastic case with rubber pads on the bottom that prevents slippage during sharpening. Oil is not required for this sharpening hone block.
