  • Instructions - For best animal wound care treatment, apply enough Kollavet to cover the entire open wound. For collagen sheets, you can tuck them into any shallow crevices. For collagen particles, apply them to fill the entire cavity. Then, secure the dressing with an absorbent dressing or aerosol bandage. Core principles of wound care and animal wound management suggest changing the dressing daily. Wounds heal faster when they are kept moist and covered to prevent infection.
  • How to treat pets at home - Make sure there are no puncture wounds or major damage. Trim or clip away any long fur from the wound area. Then, cleanse the area with a wound wash for animals. Stop any bleeding and dress the wound as described in the product instructions. If bleeding persists, contact your emergency veterinarian. Repeat daily or as needed if the dressing is no longer staying in place. If you see any signs of infection, contact your veterinarian immediately.
  • Is this product safe for my animal to lick? - Yes, Kollavet products are made from non-toxic, safe, and biodegradable bovine (cattle) products.
