- Many LED pre-lit trees are wired in parallel, which the LED Keeper cannot assist with. The LED Keeper can only assist with series-wired LED light sets. If your sets are series-wired, you can remove one bulb from a lit section and the section then becomes unlit because the bulbs rely on one another to complete the circuit. If you can remove a bulb from your set and the section remains lit, then your set is parallel-wired.
- The LED Keeper does NOT work on Incandescent light sets. Often, LEDs have plastic caps vs incandescents which have glass. Additionally, incandescent lamps tend to get warm when illuminated while LEDs do not. Lastly, you can check the metal contacts at the bottom of the bulb -- typically LEDs metal contacts are offset while incandescent is symmetrical.
