Portable transport unit The LINE2design portable transport unit is used to transport, transfer or rescue patients from areas inaccessible to stretchers. It can then be used to transfer the patient from the EMS stretcher to the hospital bed after transport and folds down into a small package weighing only one pound. The portable transport unit allows up to six rescuers to assist in a patient's transport or transfer by featuring 14 handles-two more than the original model that was introduced last year. The new design also features an additional six inches in width and now measures a generous 40″ x 80″ inches.
