The sensor measures temperatures from -39.8 to 139.8 degrees F and relative humidity levels from 1 to 99 percent. For on-site convenience, the sensor displays the temperature to the tenth of a degree on its small LCD. The sensor transmits data at a 915 MHz frequency every 4 to 16 seconds, from a distance of up to 330 feet unobstructed. Transmission through walls reduces the wireless range. Using the provided mounting bracket, install the sensor in a sheltered location to protect it from direct rainfall and sunlight. This sensor also can be employed for indoor temperature monitoring. To power the sensor, the separate purchase of two AA alkaline batteries is required. The purchase of a compatible weather station is also necessary. A limited one-year warranty covers this item. The sensor measures approximately 1/2 inches wide by 5/6 inch deep by 5 inches high.
