• Set up a compact, vertical vacuum line – Vertical vacuum take-off adapter with a 24/40 outer joint at the top and 24/40 inner joint at the bottom. The short stem helps bring the receiving flask closer under the condenser, saving space in the hood and giving a stable, straight-down condensate path.
• Add a vacuum or gas line at the receiver – The top outer joint connects to a condenser or other glassware, while the lower inner joint fits the receiving flask. This configuration lets you pull vacuum, vent, or introduce inert gas right at the collecting end of a vacuum distillation or fractionation setup.
• Serrated hose connection, 10 mm O.D. – Sidearm hose barb has an approximate 10 mm outside diameter at the largest serration and is typically used with about 8 mm I.D. flexible rubber or PTFE tubing. The serrations help the hose grip securely and reduce the risk of leaks or hose slip-off during use.
• High-temperature annealed borosilicate 3.3 – Hand-blown from heavy-wall borosilicate glass and high-temperature annealed to relieve internal stress. The adapter can be heated with common lab heat sources and withstands typical heating and cooling cycles in organic chemistry workflows.
• Standard 1:10 taper, fully interchangeable 24/40 joints – All ground joints use the standard 1:10 taper. The 24/40 joints on this adapter will fit any other 24/40 joint from standard-taper glassware, as long as attached apparatus does not mechanically interfere, making it easy to integrate into existing distillation and vacuum manifolds.
