Using steps: 

STEP 1. Put fixture in place and insert the large pin. 

STEP 2. Load spring first then detent second. Compress with plunger and hold. 

STEP 3. Rotate assembly 90 degrees, then remove plunger. 

STEP 4. Insert the pivot pin, then remove the large pin. Finally, remove the fixture and snap pivot pin into the closed position.
