Leap of Faith

From the projects of Boston fourteen year old Zuriel Zyler and his irresponsible, alcoholic mother set off on another one of her many get rich quick capers. This time to the small, summer community of Frye Island, Maine. There Zuri meets a gutsy, hi spirited teenage girl named Lenny and over the summer they become close friends. Appalled by his devastating life circumstances, Lenny convinces Zuri to stand up to his abusive mother, but when he does his confrontation brings on disastrous results! Fostered by Lenny’s tenacity and unwavering friendship, along with a cast of unlikely characters, Zuri is encouraged to get his life back together. Yet the road to his redemption is not easy. The trials and tribulations that he must endure lead him towards the true meaning of the word love and to the family that he has longed for all his life.
