Writing a book on composition, explaining it in the simplest way possible, most difficult things these are. Many painters study composition but studying is different from understanding it. Without understanding it in depth, you will never become good at applying it in your painting.
Many art students and painters face the problem here. They will study it, they will try to memorize all those approaches of composition but in the end they will miss something in their work.
Then they will struggle a lot to know what went wrong but it's futile. They will become desperate, depressed and would lose their confidence about using composition in their work.
Why does it happen? Reason… Instead of understanding the essence of composition they will study its structure. Here the problem lies.
When you are working, you have to use composition spontaneously. To use it spontaneously you should understand its essence rather than studying its structure. This is the key to use composition effectively. In this book I am trying to make you understand its essence in a simple way.
