The Swedish FireSteel 2.0 Scout Fire Starter is made from a durable magnesium alloy that will last approximately 3,000 strikes. The FireSteel produces a 3,000 DegreeC (5,400 DegreeF) spark and even works when wet. Tinder-on-a-Rope is made from Pinus Montezumae (fatwood) stumps rich in resin content - about 80%.
