Liquid Rubber Color Roof Sealant- Elastomeric Waterproof Coating for Flat, Low-Slope & Metal Roofs, Flexible UV-Stable Membrane, White, 1 Gallon
Product Description
Liquid Rubber Color Roof Sealant- Elastomeric Waterproof Coating for Flat, Low-Slope & Metal Roofs, Flexible UV-Stable Membrane, White, 1 Gallon
- WATERPROOF ELASTOMERIC ROOF SEALANT: Liquid Rubber Color Roof Sealant is a liquid rubber waterproof coating designed for flat roofs, low-slope roofs, and metal roofs. Forms a seamless, flexible membrane that helps stop roof leaks and water intrusion while protecting the roof for years to come
- PROFESSIONAL-GRADE ROOF COATING: High-performance elastomeric roof coating that cures into a durable, rubber-like membrane with up to 900% elongation. Designed to flex with roof movement without cracking or peeling
- APPLIES LIKE PAINT, BUILDS A MEMBRANE: Apply by brush, roller, or airless sprayer to clean, dry roof surfaces. Requires multiple heavy coats to build the waterproof membrane; full cure typically occurs within 24–48 hours
- ROOF-SPECIFIC COVERAGE RATES: Coverage is based on final membrane thickness, not thin paint coverage. One 5-gallon pail covers approximately 75 sq. ft. on flat roofs or up to 150 sq. ft. on sloped or metal roofs
- WATER-BASED & NON-TOXIC FORMULA: Low-odor, water-based formula with no harsh solvents. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use when applied as directed. Not intended for walking or traffic-bearing surface - product can remain tacky
- LONG-LASTING, UV-STABLE PERFORMANCE: UV resistant and solar reflective. Designed to hold up to extreme temperatures from -40°F to 150°F. Backed by over 20 years of experience and more than 1 million gallons sold
- COMPLETE THE SYSTEM FOR BEST RESULTS: Reinforce seams, joints, vents, and penetrations with Liquid Rubber Seam Tape or Geo-Textile. Use Liquid Rubber Multi-Purpose Primer to improve adhesion on challenging surfaces
Apply when temperature is above 50F/10C. and surface is dry, free of dirt, loose flaky paint and coatings, oil, grease, coal tar or other contaminants. Typically cures within 24-48 hrs. Do not freeze. Store in a warm area. Do not apply in wet conditions or if rain is forcasted within 24 hrs. Not meant as a constant walking surface.
Coverage - Vertical Surfaces - Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 25 sq ft (2.3 sq m). It should require around 2-3 heavy coats to achieve a 30 mil (0.76 mm) (DFT) membrane.
Flat/Ponding Surface - Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 15 sq ft (1.4 sq m). It should require around 4-5 heavy coats to achieve a 60-80 mil (1.5-2 mm) (DFT) membrane.
Apply next coat when dry to touch and nothing is wet underneath; tacky is okay.
Generally 6-8 hrs between heavy coats. Amounts vary depending on surface roughness.
Use all material up to achieve a long lasting membrane.
Avoid hot, direct, intense sunlight during application. Remove Painters Tape while still wet. Membrane will turn brown in ponding situations due to surfactants. Will dissipate over time as the water cycles and cleans.
Clean Up - Use soap and water or mineral oil to clean skin.
