Long Journey Home (1998 Television Mini-series)

Long Journey Home is an epic film event from PBS & Disney which chronicles the role of the Irish in America - from famine-struck Ireland to the White House. The 6-hour series (airing nationwide on PBS Jan. 26-28) is highlighted by rare footage, stunning photos and poignant remembrances, and the soundtrack features performances from top Irish and American artists including Van Morrison, Elvis Costello with Anuna, the Chieftains, Vince Gill, Sinead O'Connor, Eileen Ivers (of Riverdance), Mary Black and others.
